Drawing and Place: Documenting the City

On Wednesday, March 26, 2025, Carie Penabad and Adib Cúre delivered a lecture at the Coral Gables Museum as part of the Teófilo Victoria Lecture Series. Entitled Drawing and Place: Documenting the City, the talk explored the City Beautiful Movement and its enduring influence on the shaping of Coral Gables. Hosted by the City of Coral Gables Museum and the ICAA Florida Chapter, the lecture emphasized the role of drawing and documentation as tools to understand, preserve, and reimagine the civic ideals embedded in the urban fabric.
